What is CultureRepair.com all about?
American culture seems more polluted than ever. Depravity abounds. Whales are saved, but babies are aborted. Public displays of Christianity are under attack. The family is under attack. And our children's minds are under increasing assault by a culture obsessed with sex and materialism.
And while these cultural indicators decline, is it any coincidence that government grows, and grows, and grows, enslaving us with taxation, national debt, and inflationary currency. Liberalism means tax- and-spend. Conservatism means borrow-and-spend.
We go from bad to worse. Humanism, the belief that mankind can band together and solve his problems without God, is being displaced by Nihilism which is meaninglessness.
CultureRepair.com is a school of Christian apologetics. CultureRepair.com is a prophetic ministry declaring Liberty to the captives. Our long term goal is nothing less than reformation of the church and restoration of American liberty.
We believe that when man acts as if he is the center of his universe, he shuts off God and the result is chaos and despair. As one writer put it, "A transcendent God implies that eternal truths exist, that 'human nature is a constant, and moral truths are permanent.'" Chaos is thus, inevitable when one pretends that the laws of nature and of nature's God can be legislated away by our whims and desires. This ministry seeks to develop the tools, the heuristics that explain how the world really works – how the Designer intended for it, and us, to function.
We believe that Christian love, a Godly example, the Gospel, and the Church are the most powerful agents for change – that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty. We oppose the use of force or compulsion to achieve social and political goals.
We oppose partisanship and political solutions to mankind's problems. Government programs are never the answer. Partisan politics places man at the center of his universe, leads to a compromise of values, and causes Christians who get involved to sacrifice their standards for the expediency of victory.
Christians must break themselves of the un-Biblical concept that "there ought to be a law," for every problem we face. CultureRepair.com is focused on this challenge.
As far as we're concerned, big government is the Tower of Babel – the humanist solution to save mankind. The State (civil government) allows for no God to be placed before it. Its goals are growth and the acquisition of power. It knows no bounds. And the only way to bind it is to deny it the power that is God's alone; to keep it in check; to honor the forms of government He has given us...
- The marketplace (our employers/customers),
- The church,
- The family,
- And, last but not least, self-government.
Therefore we oppose big government, support understanding of the free market and Christian apologetics, seek a restoration of the Church in the life of our families and communities, and encourage a deep appreciation for the value of an individual. The Great Shepherd serves as our example.
For each individual, we hope to deliver the tools that enable him or her, through Christ, to deliver to the world, "One Improved Unit" – in other words, the ability to let his or her light shine, so that others may see a person's good works, and glorify their Father in Heaven.
For us, the key word is "responsibility." Responsibility is the cost of liberty – the pathway to freedom. It is by assuming our responsibilities that the politicians have tightened the reins on us. Moreover, a people who are free will act more virtuous. For the God who created us, built an orderly system that – unless tinkered with by men who believe they don't need God – rewards industry, thrift, honesty, virtue, charity, and resourcefulness.
At CultureRepair.com, we also seek to expose the tactics of the secularists and the socialists: to draw clear lines, so that the believer is equipped for the spiritual warfare he faces. We propose the Truth as the gold standard – the key to victory. Jesus is the Truth. Is it an accident that Christ is associated so completely with Truth? Being a Christian means knowing the Truth, because it is the Truth which makes us free.

2Heuristic – a short-cut to knowledge; comes from the same root word as "Eureka!", as in, "I had an Eureka moment." Heuristics are tools that explain the way the world works. Either they can be reliably applied across disciplines or they're absolute rules of a particular discipline. For example, consider the Dictator Fallacy. This is the belief that you can change the world by passing a law – as if you were the king. Acting as if you're king means you overlook the fact that you can't pass the law (legislators will), you don't administer the laws (the executive branch will do that), and you won't adjudicate the law (judges will handle that). By the time the law weaves its way through this process, you may hardly even recognize it. Moreover, pretending to be Dictator ignores one very real danger. Government always expands its power. That means that the law you supported today, implemented by the politician you like, for reasons you felt passionately about, is a law that, tomorrow, will be administered by a politician you don't like, doing things you never could've imagined.
